One electricity bill, many different uses
Think of a shared meal: some dishes are yours, while others are shared. To split the bill fairly, you need to agree who pays for what. Product electricity works the same way: count direct use and explain how shared use is divided.
On this journey, we will first follow a batch of products
Our fictional batch uses 500 kWh: 400 directly at the equipment and 100 allocated from shared services. It delivers 900 good units. Later stories explain how we count the units and share out the electricity.
Pause here. What would you choose?
If you want to know how much electricity a product uses, what should be your first step?
